Court Visitor

When there is a Guardianship and/or Conservatorship protective court proceeding, GCM may be named by the court to serve as court visitor. The Court Visitor is an independent party whose duty is to evaluate the alleged incapacitated person, render an opinion, and report to the court their findings. When accepting this court appointment, GCM requests a retainer of $2000 (Money is refunded if not used).

NM Statute states that the court proceeding is paid from the estate of the alleged incapacitated person.
